A POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW position is now available in the laboratory of Dr. Shizhen (Jane) Zhu in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Our interest is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neuroblastoma initiation, maintenance and metastasis and to identify novel molecular targets and effective inhibitors for this devastating disease (see Zhu et al. 2012 Cancer Cell, Zhu et al. 2017 Cancer Cell and Dong et al. 2021 Cancer Research). We use cutting-edge approaches in combination with versatile model systems including zebrafish, mouse and mammalian cell culture systems in our studies. We are looking for creative and motivated applicants who have research experiences in molecular and cell biology and/or animal model system.
